Round 1 :-
This will be the elimination round. The contestants will be given a simple program to code along with some basic MCQs. The criteria will be to score maximum points in least amount of time.
Round 2 :-
Blind Coding. The participants will have to code with their monitors turned off. 10 participants will be shortlisted for the final round. Maximum 15mins to be alloted.
Round 3 :-
The contestants will be given a problem statement and would be expected to code as per the instructions given. Maximum 30mins to be alloted.

This event is designed to test the coding ability of the participants where they have to write correct and efficient codes in alloted time for given set of problems! The event will be hosted on Hackerrank.

Task:


Round1- Participants will be given basic logic based problem statements for which they have to provide solutions in the stipulated time.
Round2- The difficulty level of problem statements will be increased in this round

Judging Criteria:


Round1- Execution time,memory usage are the paramters that will decide who will qualify for the final round.Points will be given for correct solution of each problem.Participants with more points will qualify for final round.
Round2-Execution time,memory management. Top two teams/participants will be awarded the prize.

Rules:

1.Permitted languages are C,C++,JAVA,PYTHON.
2.Use of any online IDE other than hackerrank is prohibited.Any offline IDE can be used.
3.Participants are requested to have a hackerrank handle/account before appearing for the contest.
4.All inputs and test cases shall be checked to check the authenticity of the code.
5. Decision regarding use of proper libraries will remain with the organisers.
6. Any access to the net will be discouraged.Participants found doing so, will be disqualified immediately.
7. Any misbehaviour from the participants during the event may lead to disqualification.
8. Participants must be present for the event at the specified time. Absent participants will be automatically disqualified.
9. All participants are required to report 30 minutes before the event starts.
10. Every participant should have their college ID card or atleast one proof of identity.
11. All the teams are required to bring the registration receipt with them.
12. In case of any inconvenience or doubts during the competition, participants are required to seek the help of the volunteers present.
13. All rights are reserved with the TESLA committee.
14. In case of any disputes, final word will remain with the organizers. Decision of the judges will be final.

3. This round will consist of multiple correct objective type questions

Judging Criteria

Both the rounds will be judged by the marks individual/group secures.

Round 1:
The first 20 participants (depending on number of registrations) , who scores the highest marks will qualify for round 2.

Round 2:
Participants who score highest marks in this round will be announced winner.

Introduction

We are here with a competition to test our Java skills. It will no complex Java, but all the basics about it.

Task

Round 1:
This round is all about the MCQ’s. This is an elimination round. Each participant will be given a objective question paper of Java to solve within a given time. The participant must correctly answer the questions to qualify for the next round.

Round 2:
Level 1:
This is also the elimination round. In this each participant will be given 3 programs with different types of errors. The participant has to solve all the errors in a minimum time and run maximum number of programs out of three.
Level 2: (Twister Round)
This level will be tougher than the previous level. All the participants will be given a problem statement. Participant has to run the particular program without errors. But there will be a TWIST which you get to know at the time of event when you get the problem statement.

Judging Criteria

Round 1:
This will be judged on the number of correct answers and the cut off (depending on the number of registrations).

Round 2:
Level 1:
This level will be judged on the basis of complete execution (i.e zero errors), least time taken and maximum number of program solved. The first 10 contestants finishing their code with no errors will proceed to next level.
Level 2:
This level will be tougher than the previous level. This level again will be judged on the basis of complete execution (i.e zero errors) and least time taken. The participants finishing their code, first and second, without any errors will be announced the winners. The twist is different for Group of 2 and individual participants

All you have to do is surf the web,literally! Well, its not as easy as that sounds. We’ve compiled a bunch of tasks for you to test your web navigation skills and efficiency at that!
Now here’s the fun part–>There is no age limit and no specification of branch is required for participate! You just need to be a Netizen. Little or more knowledge about internet and Google or any search engine is the only requirement. Take this opportunity to prove your mettle and show-off the depth of your knowledge of World Wide Web. This event is targeted as a fun event with a touch of a technical knowledge.

Problem Statement


1. The task will be given to you on the spot, and the participant is to find the solution as fast as possible within a stipulated time.
2. There will be Levels, each Level includes some specific tasks. Participant succeeding in one Level shall be deemed eligible for next Level.
3. Difficulty increases as you qualify for next level.

How To Implement

Round 1
Elimination round
1. In this round your surfing skills will be checked. You will be given some queries and you have to answer those by surfing it on the internet.
eg:- What is the fuel tank capacity of a Porsche Carrera GT??
2. Marks will be allocatted for each question. Elimination will be done based on marks and number of tasks completed in given time .

Round 2
1. Indentify a place/person/thing from given set of clues.
2. Evaluation on time basis and marks will be allocated for different tasks.

Round 3
1. Final round will be E-TREASURE HUNT..
2. You have to surf the internet from one URL to another.
3. Clues will be provided for each task in this round.
4. The first one to complete the task will be the ultimate winner of the event.

Judging Criteria

Round 1

Each problem statement has some marks. The participant with marks above a certain cut-off range will be eligible for next Level.

Round 2 & 3

1. Each problem statement has some marks. The participant with max marks will be eligible for next Level.
2. Both time and marks for each task will be evaluated, if participants are found taking help of any other person, the said participant will be penalized.
3. Player with minimum time taken and maximum marks will qualify for next level.
4. Candidates who complete the tasks first will be declared Winners.
5. In case of tie, an extra task may be included (only for final round).
6. Level 2 and Level 3 are completely time bound. You can ask for help in Level 2, with penalty of 5 minutes.

1. Team of two or a single participant is allowed.
2. All Participants are required to report 30 min before the event starts, to the reporting desk.
3. Every participant should have his college id card or at least one proof of identity.
4. All the teams are required to bring the registration receipt with them.

Task

Round 1: Pictionary

This round is a General Knowledge quiz wherein you will have to answer the questions with the help of pictures.The domain will be strictly technological

Round 2 : Down And Across:

In this round, the contestants have to complete a crossword puzzle based on World of Computers. As the name suggests, the contestants will have nothing JUST A MINUTE to complete as much as they can.

Round 3 : Final Round

The final round will consist of proper orthodox coding having missing snippets of Codes which are expected to be filled by the relevant statements. The participants will have maximum 45 minutes to complete the expedition.

Judging Criteria


1.All the rounds will be computer based.
2.All the rounds except the final round i.e Retracer will be of 1 minute strictly.The screen shuts exactly after one minute.
3.Elimination will be based on the combined score of the 1st two rounds.Shortlisted contestants will be qualified for the final round.
4..Two rounds will be held on first day and the final round will be conducted on the second day
5.The winner would be declared by one of the following criteria:
a.The participant completes the retracer quickest.
b.In case no participant completes the round in the assigned time, the one with the highest score wins.

Locked in our room, with nothing but your wits, be the first to escape! Find clues, solve puzzles, interact with our "Mystery Man" to find the key! (Psst! Maybe there'll be even more surprises just waiting for you!) Only those who think that they have what it takes to escape, are allowed to enter.

Round 1:
The participants will be given logic puzzles to solve. The winners will be whoever solves the puzzles the fastest. This will serve as the elimination round, and 10 teams will go forward to the next round.

Round 2:
Each of the final teams will be locked in a room, with the simple objective of finding the key by a series of clues and puzzles. There will be a time limit of 15-20 mins for each team. The team which gets out the fastest wins!
